UFC Fight Night 120, Norfolk, VA – Karl Roberson took his undefeated record to the Octagon for his UFC debut. Taking on Darren Stewart, a UFC veteran from the UK, in the middleweight class of 185 lbs, Karl was handed a tough task to prove his initial worth.
After a great training camp and the best weight cut to date, Karl was on track to do what he does, which is finish fights. At 3 min and 40 sec of the 1st round, Karl submitted Stewart with a modified rear naked choke, we call it the Captain America, and secured his 5th 1st round finish in 6 fights.
Coming from obscurity to the UFC out of Neptune, NJ, staying with his home team from the start, and having so few fights prior to the UFC – Karl Roberson has shown that hard work, consistency, and training with a purpose can open doors for anyone. No excuses, if you want it – work for it!
Karl Roberson is now 1-0 in his UFC career and looking for an Octagon return in January or February of 2018.
Karl steps in to do the work but it is a team that gets him ready. Thank you to all who have been there to fine tune Karl and we look forward to many more camps with this team!
